"New"
Fabrication Facility Has A Rich History In Detroit

Although
it is a "new" facility for Dumas Concepts In Building
as a full-time tenant, the Epworth Street fabricating facility is
not new to those who work in the steel industry. The building and
the company that has called it "home", Aluminum &
Architectural Metals Company (AAMCO), has a rich history in steel
and metal work.
At
this site, AAMCO has been providing high quality ferrous and non-ferrous
structural, miscellaneous and ornamental/architectural metals to
customers since the early 1900s. When Dumas Concepts In Building
originally purchased AAMCO and its facility in 1997, DCIB retained
the company name and employees as a means for maintaining the existing
customer base and preserving the history of the company.
AAMCO's
project experience is vast and varied due to the company's longevity.
Examples of the company's legacy exist throughout many notable area
landmarks. Some of which include the following:
-

DCIB
relocated its Detroit fabrication services and its Fraser, MI conveyor
spare parts division to Epworth Street this past spring. It will
still share the 64,000 square foot fabrication facility with AAMCO.
The
Epworth facility is located just east of downtown Detroit's central
business district and has cutting shearing, forming and rolling,
welding/grinding/polishing capabilities. For those who would be
interested in a tour of the building, please contact Tim Wise at
248.380.8480 or twise@dumasconcepts.com.
