Scope of Work: The Dumas Construction/Services team provided specialty steel services for the 5-story vertical precast and glass expansion in the heart of the Detroit Medical Center. The team was responsible for all structural steel connections, metal fabrication for floor and roof decks, matting for the crane, safety cabling at the site perimeter, demolition of an old stairwell, provide new steel for stairs and rigging for the cooling tower equipment. This challenging project to erect the addition on top of an occupied building was further complicated by limted access. The existing structure was completely surrounded by other structures providing only one way access to the site. This project added 75,000 square feet of space to the facility including 40 research laboratories, administrative offices and conference room space.

Scope of Work: Dumas Concepts In Building furnished and installed structural steel and miscellaneous metal for this $25,000,000 project. DCIB also provided a full time field engineer for this joint venture with Barton Malow. This facility will house the Cancer Research Center with a major emphasis on alternative medicine.

Scope of Work: This complex addition to the east Detroit hospital took careful analysis, planning and coordination. Dumas Concepts In Building managed the project using a 100 ton crane to erect 440 tons of structural steel and metal decking on top of the existing, occupied hospital. St. John Hospital and Medical center is a leader in specialized services for high-risk pregnancies. The new LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery and post-partum) center will facilitate the care of mothers and babies.
