working relationships provide a value-added benefit to our clients
in that no learning curve is involved when we are teamed on a project.

In providing value-added services to our clients, we have found that
in certain instances taking extra measures to ensure the most favorable
outcome or to bring a project into budget, constructability renews
can be crucial. By examining the design and assessing the materials
being proposed, we can assist the client in determining possible alternative
materials and design specifications. To assist in this process we
use the services of Dave Ruby & Associates located in Farmington
Hills, Michigan. Another company we use for engineering and shop detailing
is Tapan Datta Associates located in Livonia, Michigan.

Track Scheduling
The
Dumas team knows how to complete projects with aggressive schedules.
We proved this on the Stellwagen Elementary School for the Detroit
Public Schools and the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility projects
by employing unconventional contracting and scheduling techniques.

When
a building is constructed in the middle of a city, the intended beneficiaries
can come out feeling like victims. Familiar traffic patterns are altered
and work spaces impacted. Change can be difficult, even in the name
of progress.
We
believe the owner/developer has a responsibility to help in shaping
valid expectations during construction and to provide information
to minimize confusion and disruption on projects.
To
enhance value and promote performance accountability, we propose a
monthly project update report. In addition, we will forward the monthly
project update report to your web site manager to post on your internal
web site. Reliable communication can help enhance the image of the
project and gives Dumas an opportunity to showcase accountable service.

Dumas
Concepts In Building has developed its own computer operating system
that provides for complete project control. This custom designed software
provides budget tracking, project accounting, document control, facilities
inventory and equipment tracking.
This
software is the heart of our information management system. It is
more complete than commercially available software. More importantly,
it is flexible and can be adapted to specific project reporting requirements.
Performance accountability requires accurate information that is immediately
available.
Dumas Concepts In Building has full CAD capability in house. We have
developed a process using the A/E's CAD files to provide resource-loaded
design data into the estimating and scheduling systems. This streamlines
the process and increases accuracy.
