Dumas' formal education and training at Wayne State University and the Lawrence Institute of Technology, as well as his keen business acumen, have been further enriched through his professional affiliations. These include but are not limited to: twenty-year board member of the National Association of Minority Contractors; the Association of General Contractors; the American Arbitration Association; Detroit Chamber of Commerce; the Chicago Urban League; the Great Lakes Fabricators and Erectors Association; and the Detroit Athletic Club, just to name a few.
